Wild Reassigns Wellman to Aeros

HOUSTON --- Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher today announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has reassigned forward Casey Wellman to the Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League (AHL).

Wellman, 23 (10/18/87), has registered two points (1-1=2) and four penalty minutes (PIM) in 14 games with the Wild this season while averaging 10:55 in time on ice per game. He registered the game-winning goal in a 3-1 win against the New York Rangers on March 3.

Among active Aeros players, Wellman is tied for sixth in scoring (11-12-23) despite appearing in just 30 games. He owns a five-game scoring streak (3-4-7) entering this weekend ‚¬â„¢s action.
