TIGERS VS. AMERKS

Tonight's contest marks the fourth and final meeting between the Sound Tigers and Amerks this season, and the second of two matchups at Webster Bank Arena. Bridgeport is 1-1-1-0 against Rochester this year following a 2-1 overtime win in Upstate New York on Feb. 28. Michael Dal Colle netted his seventh tally of the season in the first period before Travis St. Denis played hero, scoring the winner 83 seconds into OT. However, the Americans earned a 4-1 win in their last matchup at Webster Bank Arena on Dec. 10, led by defenseman Zach Redmond's three-point performance (two goals, one assist).

VIEW FROM ROCHESTER

The Amerks are just 4-3-2-1 over their last 10 games, but Chris Taylor's club earned a 5-4 shootout win against the Syracuse Crunch in its last outing on Sunday. Colin Blackwell, Hudson Fasching and Eric Cornell all collected one goal and two assists, while Danny O'Regan scored the only goal in a three-round shootout. Rochester continues to play without its leading scorer, C.J. Smith, who has missed 12 straight games due to injury. Linus Ullmark, Brendan Guhle, Justin Bailey and Seth Griffith will also miss tonight's contest, recently recalled by the Buffalo Sabres.

PROMISING PROSPECT

New York Islanders prospect Parker Wotherspoon has been a scoring machine over the last four games. The 2015 fourth-round pick has four goals over that span, including two game-winners, and now ranks fifth among first-year defensemen in the AHL with seven goals this season. Wotherspoon has added nine assists and a plus-five rating through 46 games and enters tonight's matchup on a career-best four-game point streak (four goals, two assists), dating back to Mar. 3.

CLIMBING TO THE TOP

Second-year forward Travis St. Denis has scored in four of his last six games and following his 17th goal of the season in Sunday's 5-4 win, the Quinnipiac University product now leads the team in that category. St. Denis is also Bridgeport's active leading scorer with 32 points (17 goals, 15 assists) in 59 games and has 14 points (eight goals, six assists) in his last 20 outings. He paces the team with seven power-play goals as well.

QUICK HITS

Josh Ho-Sang missed two games last weekend due to illness, but returned to the lineup on Sunday and recorded his fifth multi-point effort of the season (two helpers)... Casey Bailey assisted on two power-play goals last weekend and now leads the club with 15 power-play points (six goals, nine assists)... Former Yale University captain Ryan Hitchcock, who signed an amateur tryout (ATO) with Bridgeport last Thursday, made his professional debut on Sunday and recorded one shot... All-Star defenseman Mitch Vande Sompel returned to Bridgeport's lineup on Sunday after missing 13 games with an upper-body injury...
