
Admirals Shoot-Out Success Continues

Stockton, CA - Mark McNeill scored two goal to lead the Milwaukee Admirals to a 3-2 shootout win over the Stockton Heat Wednesday at Stockton Arena.
The win was Milwaukee's tenth in a shootout this season. The Admirals are now 10-1 when the game gets past the overtime session. Milwaukee's last four wins have all been in a shootout.
Admirals goalie Anders Lindback stopped 26 shots in the game and both Heat shooters in the shootout to earn his 27th win of the year. Frederick Gaudreau and Justin Kirkland scored in the shootout to secure the victory for Milwaukee.
McNeill tied the game for Milwaukee at 8:04 of the third period after a turnover in the Heat zone by defenseman Cody Goloubef. Harry Zolnierczyk stole the puck, skated to the slot and fed a pass to McNeill at the bottom of the left circle. His one-timer found the back of the cage for his ninth goal of the season in the AHL and fourth with the Admirals.
Stockton used a power play goal to take a 1-0 lead at 16:44 of the first period. Hunter Shinkaruk slapped a one-timer from the right circle after a feed from the point by Tyler Wotherspoon. The goal was Shinkaruk's 16th of the season.
Milwaukee scored a power play goal of its own to knot the score at 18:32 of the second period. McNeill's shot from the right circle beat Heat goalie Jon Gillies for the marker. It was McNeill's third goal with the Admirals and eighth in the AHL this season. Mark Zengerle and Joonas Lyytinen recorded the assists.
Stockton's Oliver Kylington scored a power play goal at 3:00 of the third period to reclaim the lead for the Heat but McNeill scored his shorthanded marker at 8:04 of the third to knot the score.
Milwaukee will travel to San Diego to play the Gulls Friday. The Admirals will return home to Panther Arena to host Grand Rapids Tues., Mar. 20.
