Sound Tigers Announce Roster Moves

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (Jan. 28, 2014) - The Bridgeport Sound Tigers have announced that goaltender Parker Milner has been reassisnged to the Stockton Thunder, the team's ECHL affiliate. Additionally, forward Matt Lowry has been released from his professional tryout contract (PTO) and will return to the Evansville Icemen (ECHL).

Milner, 23, was in his second stint with the Sound Tigers in 2013-14. In eight AHL games, the Pittsburgh, PA, native posted a record of 4-2-0, a 2.95 GAA and a .904 save percentage. Most recently, he had won his last two Sound Tigers starts. In nine games with the Thunder this season, Milner has a 3-6-0 record with a 2.69 GAA and .913 save percentage.

Lowry, 25, was signed to a PTO on Dec. 12 after scoring 15 points (seven goals, eight assists) in 19 games for Evansville this season. In 19 games for the Sound Tigers the Neepawa, Mantioba, native collected two assists and 21 penalty minutes. Lowry had previously garnered 12 games of AHL experience with the Binghamton Senators in 2009-10.

The Sound Tigers travel to Albany to face the Devils Friday night before returning home to take on the Springfield Falcons Saturday.
