Broomball with the B-Sens

Binghamton Senators News Release


BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - The Binghamton Senators announced today they have partnered with D.I.F.D. (Do It For Daron) and the Mental Health Association of the Southern Tier to host "Broomball with the B-Sens" on Monday, February 3 from 4:30-6:30p.m at Phelps Park (formerly known as State Street Park) on the corner of State Street and Bevier Street. All proceeds from this event will benefit the Mental Health Association of the Southern Tier to provide scholarships for area youth leaders and coaches to become certified in Mental Health First Aid.

There is no charge to participate in the Broomball activities, though fans who wish to play are asked to wear appropriate shoes to play in and their own brooms to use. There will be a concessions table set up with hot chocolate and cookies available for $1.00 each. D.I.F.D. will have a table with merchandise available for purchase, including special D.I.F.D. hockey jerseys. B-Sens players will be present to sign autographs and socialize with those in attendance.

All participants in the event will receive a raffle ticket good for entry into the drawing for a special D.I.F.D. warm-up jersey worn by a B-Sens player for its "Power to the Purple" game on February 14 at 7:05 PM versus the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins.
