Rochester Americans News Release
(Rochester, NY)... The Rochester Americans will return to home ice this week with games on Wednesday, Jan. 29 versus the Chicago Wolves and Friday, Jan. 31 versus the Rockford IceHogs at The Blue Cross Arena. Both games begin at 7:05 p.m.
Wednesday's game against Chicago is presented by Tops Friendly Markets. Fans can present a Tops Bonus Plus Card or a Tops receipt at The Blue Cross Arena Box Office prior to the game to purchase tickets for just $14 apiece. The offer is also available at www.amerks.com/topsnight. The Wolves will be making their first appearance in Rochester since Nov. 14, 2008.
For Friday's Men's Health Night game against Rockford, the Amerks and Urology Associates of Rochester are once again partnering to raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer. As part of the initiative, the Amerks will wear special-edition jerseys to promote men's health awareness. Fans will have the opportunity to purchase these jerseys through a silent auction held during the game on The Blue Cross Arena concourse. Following the game, the winners will be able to take the ice and be presented with a "jersey off the back" from the Amerks players.
A special Men's Health Night ticket offer, featuring "best-available" seats for just $16 apiece, is available at www.amerks.com/menshealth or at The Blue Cross Arena Box Office. A portion of every ticket sold through this offer will be donated back to www.ZeroCancer.org.
The Friday Amerks Happy Hour runs from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Upper Atrium Bar and features live music from Amy Montrois and $2 Molson and Coors Light drafts. Jan. 31 is also a Value Parking Night in the Civic Center Garage, with parking available for just $5 (for a savings of $3).
