The Philadelphia Soul are taking their fight for the AFL title all the way to City Hall. On Wednesday March 12 at 3:30 p.m., members of the team will meet Mayor Michael Nutter and present him with his very own Philadelphia Soul jersey - "Nutter 08" - and tickets to Sunday's game against the rival New York Dragons.
The Soul will be assembling with the newly elected Mayor, so that come July when the Soul, who are 2-0 and the highest scoring team in the AFL, are ready to make their march down Broad Street the Mayor knows just who they are.
Mayor Nutter and The Philadelphia Soul, already seem to have a lot in common. Mayor Nutter has vowed to bring change to the City of Brotherly Love, and the Philadelphia Soul are committed to giving the people of Philadelphia something that they have waited over 25 years for... A CHAMPIONSHIP! The time has come for change, and together Mayor Nutter and the Philadelphia Soul will bring it to the City of Brotherly Love. Be prepared to make Soul blue and black your "Primary Colors".
The Soul will battle the New York Dragons on Sunday, March 16 starting at 2 p.m. at the Wachovia Center. The first 10,000 fans to the game will receive a Soulmates poster courtesy of Suncoast Mortgage.
