Colorado Crush News Release
Denver, Colo.,- Crush QB John Dutton will watch tonight's all-important Final 12 episode of Fox's hit reality show American Idol with baited breath. Dutton's sister-in-law, Kristy Lee Cook, is one of the Final 12 contestants vying for the opportunity to become the next American Idol. The episode will air tonight at 8 p.m. MST.
Cook has been able to withstand the ever-terrorizing Idol judge Simon Cowell and the vote of the shows viewers to get to this point, making Dutton and family very proud.
"No matter what happens, we are very proud of her and all she has accomplished in the contest," Dutton said. "Ever since I have known she has been singing and singing well and I think America is getting a chance to see what she is all about and responding."
Dutton will appear on ESPN's The Hotlist tomorrow afternoon at 3:20 p.m. MST to talk about Cook's performance thus far, as well as the Crush season.
Dutton will also be talking about the Crush's upcoming game on Monday night against the 2-0 Dallas Desperados on ESPN2 at 6 p.m. MST. The Crush lost their season finale last season to Dallas 77-58, and Dutton and company will be looking to avenge that lopsided loss.
"Dallas is a great team and we need to go in there and prove that we can compete with this league's great teams because we believe we are one of them," Dutton said.
