Solomon Asante Earns USL Team of the Week Honorable Mention

August 13, 2019 - United Soccer League Championship (USL) - Phoenix Rising FC News Release

PHOENIX - Phoenix Rising captain Solomon Asante earned USL Team of the Week Honorable Mention for Week 23 of the 2019 USL Championship season the league announced today.

Asante scored the game-winner in Rising FC's 2-1 win over El Paso Locomotive FC. He also won seven duels, created two chances, and drew three fouls.

This is the 17th week overall and ninth consecutive week this season a Rising FC player has been recognized by the league. This is also the eighth time this season Asante has been recognized by the league.

Phoenix Rising returns to Casino Arizona Field this Friday for a Bud Light $1 Beer Night against Reno 1868 FC. The match will air live on Your PHX CW (channels 6 & 61.1) and online at ArizonaSports.com with kickoff at 7:30 p.m. The first 2,000 fans will receive a free black t-shirt courtesy of Arizona Complete Health. Gates open at 6:00 p.m. Fans can purchase tickets to the match at PHXRisingFC.com
