
Solar Bears Trade for Mike Liambas

Orlando Solar Bears News Release
Orlando, FL - The Orlando Solar Bears announced today that they have acquired D Mike Liambas from the Cincinnati Cyclones in exchange for future considerations.
Liambas (5'9", 198 lbs.) is in his second full ECHL season after appearing in 39 games with Cincinnati last year. Liambas had 160 penalty minutes (PIM) as well as nine points, all assists, while leading the Cyclones with 14 major penalties last season. He first played for Cincinnati in 2010-11, after joining the team following his time at the University of British Columbia (Canadian Intercollegiate Sport). He has also appeared in 25 games with the Bloomington Prairie Thunder, where he had 146 PIM, one goal, and three assists.
The Woodbridge, Ontario, native spent parts of four seasons (2006-10) playing with the Erie Otters of the OHL (Ontario Hockey League), totaling five goals, eight assists, and 357 PIM.
The Solar Bears play their next four games on the road before returning to the Amway Center on Wednesday, November 7, against the Gwinnett Gladiators.
