Petr Mrazek Heads to Grand Rapids

TOLEDO, OH - The Detroit Red Wings have reassigned goaltender Petr Mrazek to the Grand Rapids Griffins of the American Hockey League and assigned goaltender Jordan Pearce to the Toledo Walleye.

Mrazek started three games for Toledo winning two of those while posting a 2.02 goals against average and a .944 save percentage. Petr was a runner up for the ECHL Goaltender of the Week honors following his start on October 13th against Kalamazoo (4-1 win).

Pearce rejoins Toledo where he started his professional career in 2009. The Anchorage, Alaska native has a 19-21-3 record while wearing a Walleye uniform. In the 2010-11 season, He led Grand Rapids in wins with 20, saves with 1164 and save percentage (.908). Jordan was the first Walleye goaltender to win five consecutive starts and has been named as the ECHL Goaltender of the Week in his career.

This season, Jordan has appeared in three games with the Griffins going 0-3-0 with a 4.38 GAA and a .847 SVP. Prior to his professional career, Pearce was a CCHA Goaltender of the Year (2008) while at the University of Notre Dame. He was also a finalist for CCHA Player of the Year and was named CCHA Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
