FORT MILL, S.C. - June 15, 2007 - It was a good night overall for Charlotte as they stayed close throughout the game and came into the ninth inning tied for the lead.
Newly acquired IF Earl Snyder stepped in and won a close game between the Scranton-Wilkes Barre Yankees and Knights by hitting a walk-off homerun in the bottom of the 9th to win 4-3.
Snyder was acquired from waivers prior to last night's game. Before coming to the Knights he was playing for Cincinnati's Triple-A affiliate, the Louisville Bats. In the two games he has played for the Knights he is 2-8, with one hit and homerun.
David Aardsma (2-1, 5.40) picked up his second win of the season.
The Knights continue their series against the Scranton-Wilkes Barre Yankees on Saturday at Knights Stadium. Right hander Gavin Floyd (4-3, 3.58 ERA) will start for the Knights, while Matt DeSalvo (3-0, 1.21 ERA) will start for the Yankees.
