Snow to Tacoma, Gillheeney to Jackson

Montgomery, ALA - The Seattle Mariners have made the following roster move on Monday that affects the Jackson Generals roster. RHP Forrest Snow has been promoted to Triple-A Tacoma. Also, LHP James Gillheeney has been sent from Tacoma back to Jackson. Also OF Francisco Martinez was designated for assignment on Monday. Martinez could rejoin the Generals but must clear waivers.

SNOW, 24, was 1-5, with a 3.58 ERA in 17 relief appearances for the Generals this season. Snow has made eight relief appearences in the month of May and posted a 2.84 ERA. Snow has appeared in 22 games, including 13 starts for Tacoma and is 2-6, with a 7.24 ERA in those games. He was the Mariners' 36th round draft choice in 2010 out of the University of Washington.

GILLHEENEY, 25, suffered the loss yesterday for Tacoma and in six starts was 2-2, with a 4.50 ERA. With Jackson this season, Gillheeney was 2-0, with a 1.21 ERA in four starts. In 20 career Jackson starts from 2010-2012 he is 4-6, with a 4.40 ERA. Gillheeney was the Mariners' 8th round selection in 2009 out of North Carolina State University. He resides in Johnston, RI.

Jackson's roster currently is at 25 players, with five on the disabled list.
