
Snappers Win Second Straight

For the second straight night the Snappers defeated the Swing of the Quad Cities. Beloit improved to 2-0 on the season with their 6-2 victory. Kevin Culpepper came in relief of Kyle Waldrop to earn the win. Waldrop struck out five in five innings pitched. David Winfree went three for four with two doubles and drove in one run. Javier Sanchez and Landon Burt each knocked in two runs for the Snappers. Quad Cities took a 2-0 lead after scoring a run in the second inning and one in the third inning. Beloit answered with a run in the bottom of the third as they trailed 2-1. The Snappers tied the game at two in the bottom of fourth. Beloit broke the tie with four runs in the sixth to take a 6-2 lead.
The Snappers and Swing will play game three of four Saturday at 4:00 at Pohlman Field. Upcoming Schedule: Beloit hosts Quad Cities April 9, for game three of this four game series. First pitch is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
