Charlotte (NC) - Smoothie King, the world's leading smoothie brand, will further its mission to inspire young athletes to live healthy and active lifestyles with help from the Charlotte Independence professional soccer team and the Charlotte Independence Soccer Club, one of the nation's largest youth soccer academies.

Through the new relationship, Charlotte Independence will introduce Smoothie King's Clean Blend recipes, focusing on delicious smoothies with high-quality ingredients and organic whole fruits and vegetables. The smoothies are custom blended to inspire a healthy and active lifestyle, with no artificial flavors, colors, preservatives, gluten, trans-fats or hydrogenated oils, and zero grams of added sugar in many blends.

The partnership runs through the 2020 season and provides Smoothie King the opportunity to have category priority as the USL Championship team readies a move to their new home, the completely modernized and rebuilt American Legion Memorial Stadium located in Uptown Charlotte.
