Chattanooga, Tenn.- Dan Uggla's 8th inning grand slam capped a five-run frame as the Smokies scored 11 unanswered runs in an 11-2 win over Chattanooga Wednesday afternoon.
The Lookouts went ahead 2-0 in the first on a home run by Jesse Gutierrez. It was all Smokies from then on out. Tennessee took the lead in fourth on Jesus Cota's home run - his second of the series. Phil Dumatrait (0-2) suffered the loss.
Matt Chico (1-5) earned his first win of the season as the Smokies completed a three-game sweep of the Lookouts.
Tennessee returns home Thursday morning to host the Huntsville Stars in an 11:30 a.m. start. RHP Tony Pena (0-2, 6.35) will start for the Smokies against LHP Manny Parra (1-1, 4.74).
