JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Shane Victorino blooped a single to left field in the fourth inning, the only hit for the Suns in a 6-0 loss to the Tennessee Smokies on Tuesday in front of 4,906 fans at the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville.

Smokies starter Jeremy Cummings (6-4) struck out 12 batters, walked none and permitted three baserunners in eight innings pitched. Reliever Juan Figueroa pitched a scoreless, hitless ninth inning.

Suns starter Tommy Farmer (4-4) earned the loss, allowing six runs – five earned – and eight hits over 6-2/3 innings. Farmer allowed home runs to Bucky Jacobsen, a two-run shot in the third, and to Caonabo Cosme, a solo homer in the fifth. Yadier Molina and Papo Boliver each added RBI doubles for Tennessee (33-25).

The Suns (26-31) have lost seven of their last nine games.

After a travel day Wednesday, the Suns will play the Mobile BayBears at 8:05 p.m. Eastern on Thursday at Hank Aaron Stadium. Right-hander Heath Totten (3-5, 4.98) is scheduled to face BayBears righty Chris Oxspring (1-2, 3.46).
