
Lookouts Get Retribution from Rays

ORLANDO - The Orlando Rays (26-31) were stumped by Chattanooga (27-31) as the Lookouts struck back from Monday's defeat with a 7-0 victory at Crack Jack Stadium. The tables were turned on Orlando who was allowed only four hits on the night.
2 of the 4 Ray's hits came from shortstop, Jace Brewer, with a double by Pete LaForest and a single by Jorge Cantu totaling the team's offense. Orlando's pitching force, including Jon Switzer (L 3-6), Derek Anderson, newcomer Dan Guillory, and Travis Minix could not stop the powerful Lookouts bats.
Outfielder Stephen Smitherman hit a homerun, double and three singles to lead Chattanooga in the victory. The Lookouts starting pitcher, Josh Hall allowed only 3 hits in six innings and improved his record to 3-5.
Orlando travels to Greenville on Thursday to confront the Braves in a four game series and will return to Cracker Jack Stadium to face the Jacksonville Suns on Monday, June 9th at 7:05 p.m.. The week will feature three day games on the 10th, 11th and 12th at 11:05 a.m.. Bring the kids for an afternoon of fun at the ballpark.
