Smokies Kick Off 10-game Homestand Thursday at Smokies Park

KODAK, Tenn. - Your first-place Tennessee Smokies return home for a 10-game homestand that begins with a five-game set with the Montgomery Biscuits, the Double-A affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays, starting Thursday, August 8 at Smokies Park. Join us for a series that includes Jazz Night, another Fireworks Friday and a Smokies cap giveaway.

Thursday's 7:15 game kicks off the five-game set with the Smokies' Summer Reading Program celebration pregame. It's also kids eat free, where kids 12-and-under, with paid admission, will get a free hot dog, chips and small Pepsi product. The Smokies have also teamed up with Rotary International for "Pack the Park for Polio" night. Every Tuesday at Smokies Park is Pilot Prize night, where everyone's a winner, and Knox County Night, where residents and employees of Blount County receive a $2 discount off a walk-up ticket purchase. The deals keep on coming, as it's Food City Family Night. Fans that bring an Orville Redenbacher package or proof of purchase from Food City can receive a buy one ticket, get one free (up to four tickets).

Friday's 7:15 contest will feature jazz music all night long on Jazz Night. Stick around after the game for another fantastic postgame fireworks show, presented by Knoxville News Sentinel, Pepsi, Coors Light, WIVK 107.7, and WVLT TV-8.

Make sure to get to Smokies Park early for Saturday's 6:15 game, as the first 2,500 fans will receive a Smokies cap, courtesy of Food City, Peter Pan Peanut Butter and WBIR TV-10. Make sure to stay after the game for the Smokies postgame tennis ball toss, sponsored by Fast Frame, The Diner and the Hard Rock Café in Gatlinburg.

Bring the family to the park on Sunday's 5:00 pm game, as the U.S. Cellular Family FUNday allows a family of four to purchase four tickets that includes four meal vouchers and two wristbands to the Kids Zone for just $48!

The homestand wraps up during Monday's 7:15 game with another Movie Monday, featuring 80s movies. Fans that dress up as their favorite 80s movie character are eligible to receive a $2 discount on walk-up tickets. It's also $1 Hot Dog Night and Church Bulletin Night, where fans get $2 off a walk-up ticket purchase (up to four tickets) by bringing in a Sunday church bulletin to the Smokies ticket office. Monday is Sevier County Night. If you work or live in Sevier County, with valid ID you can receive $2 off a walk-up ticket purchase, courtesy of The Mountain Press and The Mix 105.5 FM.

Smokies tickets can be purchased at www.smokiesbaseball.com or at (865) 286-2300. Adult field level or bleacher seats are $11/$9. Child (12-and-under) and senior (55+) field level or bleacher seats are $10/$8. Fans buying tickets at least four hours before game time get $1.50 off each ticket.
