PENSACOLA, Fla. - The Miami Marlins announced a series of transactions that impacts their Double-A affiliate Jacksonville Suns roster prior to tonight's contest with the Pensacola Blue Wahoos at Pensacola Bayfront Stadium in Pensacola, Fla.
Right-handed reliever James Nygren has been transferred to Jacksonville from High-A Jupiter. The 24-year-old in his 30 games (one start) for the Hammerheads this season has compiled a 6-3 record and 3.26 ERA (18 ER in 49.2 IP).
In addition, right-handed reliever Scott McGough has been placed on the suspended list.
The Suns roster stands at 25, and a revised roster is attached.
Jacksonville begins their five-game road series tonight with the Pensacola Blue Wahoos, the Double-A affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds. First pitch of the series is set for 8:00 p.m. ET.
