Slammers Sweep Gateway with Win on Sunday

Joliet, IL - The Joliet Slammers presented by ATI Physical Therapy beat the Gateway Grizzles Sunday afternoon 4-0.

Liam O'Sullivan tossed a gem throwing a complete game shutout with four hits allowed and four strikeouts.

Travis Bolin got the scoring started for Joliet hitting a two-run home run in the bottom of the 2nd that also scored Trenton Hill.

The Slammers scored two more runs in the bottom of the 6th with RJ Thompson reaching first base on an error that scored Trenton Hill and Travis Bolin making it 4-0 Slammers.

Tonight's Merchants and Manufacturers Bank Player of the Game is Liam O'Sullivan who picked up the win in a dominant outing Sunday afternoon.

The Slammers are back home Tuesday, June 17th to open up a series against the Windy City ThunderBolts at 7:05 p.m.
