The Joliet Slammers Friday, July 3rd game against the Washington Wild Things is being suspended due to rain. Already in progress, the game will pick up tomorrow at 3:35pmCT from Consol Energy Park in Washington, PA. The Slammers trail the Beach Bums in the top of the second inning, 1-0, but have the bases loaded with only one out and RF Casey Fletcher at the plate. The delayed game will be played as a nine-inning contest, while the now game two of the doubleheader will be a seven-inning game. It will pick up about a half-hour after game one finishes.
