Regina Pats News Release
Regina SK ---- This afternoon the Regina Pats announced that they will be sending eighteen-year-old goaltender Dustin Slade home pending a trade to another team in the Western Hockey League.
"We have decided at this time that the best thing for us as an organization is to send Dustin home pending a trade. It is our belief that his conduct is detrimental to both the development and performance of our team," commented Pats GM Brent Parker
The 5'10", 175lb product of Penticton BC was acquired last season at the trade deadline, along with Ryan McDonald in the Josh Harding deal with the Brandon Wheat Kings.
In twenty-two appearances this season, Slade had an 8-12-2 record with a 3.18 GAA, a .900 save percentage, and 34 penalty minutes.
