
Skyhawks Set New Defensive Record In Win Against Swarm

College Park, Ga. - The College Park Skyhawks (5-2) defeated the Greensboro Swarm (2-7), 106-79, at the Gateway Center Arena at College Park on Wednesday night. With 79 points allowed tonight, the Skyhawks set a new team record for fewest points allowed. The Skyhawks' 85 points allowed on Nov. 14 was previously the team record.
The Skyhawks took an early lead after allowing the Swarm to score only 19 points in the opening quarter, leading 28-19 after one period. College Park surged again in the second quarter, taking an 18-point lead into the break, 59-41. In the process, the Skyhawks set a new season-bests for three-pointers made in the first half with 11 (11-25 3FG) and points allowed with 41 (14-40 FG, .350 FG%). The team also dished out 15 assists, tying a season-high set on Nov. 19 against Capital City.
The Skyhawks carried the lead through the second half and only trailed for 0:16 during the game.
Tyson Etienne led the team in scoring with 16 points. Seth Lundy pitched in with 12 points (4-9 3FG), seven rebounds, and four assists. Miles Norris added 11 points and nine rebounds.
Greensboro was led by Trevon Scott with 19 points. Terrell Brown Jr. added 14 points and 11 rebounds.
The Skyhawks will host the Westchester Knicks for Education Day presented by CareSource on Friday at 11 a.m., with a second game with Westchester set for Sunday at 2 p.m.
