Cleveland Charge News Release
CLEVELAND, OH - The Cleveland Charge (5-3) completed a two-game series sweep over the Grand Rapids Gold (0-7) after a 115-90 victory at the Wolstein Center on Wednesday afternoon. The win was Cleveland's fourth-straight at home to begin the season.
Six Charge players scored in double figures, led by 24 points from Emoni Bates in 34 minutes to go along with five rebounds, two assists, and one block. Sharife Cooper added 19 points, seven assists, and two steals in 32 minutes while Isaiah Mobley contributed a double-double in 30 minutes with 12 points and 11 boards. Pete Nance tallied 18 points, seven rebounds, and three assists. Aleem Ford came off the bench to round out double-digit scorers with 12 points, shooting 4-for-5 from behind the arc, in 25 minutes of action.
The Gold were paced by a double-double from Jay Huff with 24 points and 12 rebounds in 32 minutes. Andrew Funk followed with 21 points and six rebounds in 45 minutes, and Jamorko Pickett rounded out the top scorers with a 13 point, 10 board double-double in 36 minutes.
The Charge will host the Sioux Falls Skyforce at the Wolstein Center this Friday, December 1 at 7:00 p.m. for First Responders Night presented by Physicians Ambulance.
