Skyforce Soars Past Skyhawks 96-91

Sioux Falls, SD - The Sioux Falls Skyforce defeated the College Park Skyhawks 96-91 on Sunday afternoon in the team's first ever meeting from the Sanford Pentagon.

The victory marked the second time in three games that Sioux Falls (19-10) has held its opponents to 91 points or less and less than 26 percent from beyond the arc.

Miami HEAT two-way player Cole Swider led the Skyforce with 20 points, 13 rebounds and three assists. It marked Swider's fifth double-double in his last seven outings.

Six Skyhawks (15-16) players scored in double figures, as Chris Silva led the way with 16 points and six rebounds, while Robert Baker and Jarkel Joiner combined for 25 points off the bench.

Sioux Falls built as big as a 12-point lead in the opening frame, as Swider, Caleb Daniels and Malik Williams combined for 23 of the team's 30 first quarter points on 9-14 FGA. It helped push a five-point lead after the first 12 minutes.

HEAT two-way player Alondes Williams netted 10 points on 3-6 FGA in the second quarter, as it helped give a 52-46 cushion at intermission.

The Skyhawks (15-16) took their first lead of the second half with 3:23 remaining in the third frame and secured a 69-68 lead with 12 minutes left in the contest.

College Park went on a 14-6 run to the 6:13 mark of the fourth quarter to take a commanding 83-74 lead. Sioux Falls responded with a 10-0 run to retake the lead and ultimately help earn the comeback victory.

Williams finished with 17 points and six assists, while Caleb Daniels posted 16 points and eight rebounds. Isaih Moore led off the bench with 14 points and five assists.

Sioux Falls travels to take on the Memphis Hustle (12-15) on Tuesday, with tip-off slated for 7:00 PM CST from the Landers Center. College Park hosts the Maine Celtics (18-12) at 6:00 PM CST on Mar. 26th.
