AUSTIN - The Austin Spurs(16-11) swept the Capital City Go-Go (16-13), 120-112, on Sunday afternoon at the H-E-B Center at Cedar Park.
Two-Way guard David Duke Jr. finished with a final stat line of 22 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. On assignment from the Spurs, Sidy Cissoko also tallied 22 points on 7-of-11 shooting from the field and 5-of-6 from beyond the arc. Paul Watson contributed 20 points for the Silver and Black.
The Spurs took charge in the first frame to outscore the Go-Go, 31-24. Austin kept up the pace in the second quarter to extend their lead to 16 at the break, 61-45. In the third quarter, Hamidou Diallo notched 14 points for Capital City, but Austin shot 63.2% from the field and 83.3% from the three to keep the advantage, 93-72. The Go-Go used a 26-10 run midway through the final quarter, cutting the deficit to 6, 106-100, but wouldn't get any closer
Diallo led Capital City with 41 points on 13-of-20 shooting from the field. Michael Foster Jr. tallied 22 points while Davion Mintz finished with 15 points for Go-Go.
