
Skyforce Completes Trade with Thunderbirds

Sioux Falls, S.D. (Feb. 3, 2011) - The Sioux Falls Skyforce announced today that the team has acquired guard Dominique Coleman from the New Mexico Thunderbirds in exchange for forward Kevin Lyde. He is expected to join the team on Sunday and make his debut on Tuesday night at home against the Maine Red Claws. The active roster now stands at 11 players.
Coleman holds NBA Development League career averages of 11.2 points, 6.3 rebounds and 2.2 steals in 98 games (76 starts) with the Colorado 14ers (50), Maine Red Claws (5), Austin Toros (14) and New Mexico Thunderbirds (29). He averaged 9.0 points, 6.6 rebounds and 3.6 assists in 29 games (25 starts) with New Mexico this season. The 6-3, 195-pound guard averaged 15.4 points, 7.8 rebounds, 4.8 assists and a league-leading 2.9 steals in 2008-09 on a Colorado team that finished with a league-best regular season record of 34-16. He averaged 11.3 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 2.3 steals in four postseason contests to help lead Colorado to the 2009 NBA D-League Championship.
The Skyforce's next game is on Friday, Feb. 4 on the road against the Iowa Energy. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. at Wells Fargo Arena.
