Los Angeles Clippers Assign Willie Warren to NBA D-League Affiliate Bakersfield Jam

NEW YORK, Feb. 3, 2011 - Los Angeles Clippers guard Willie Warren was assigned to the Bakersfield Jam, the Clippers' NBA Development League affiliate, it was announced today. The assignment marks the 37th time in the 2010-11 season an NBA player has been assigned to an NBA D-League affiliate, and it is the first assignment for Warren, a rookie out of Oklahoma.

Warren (6-4, 203) has appeared in 14 games this season with the Clippers, averaging 2.2 points and 1.4 assists in 7.8 minutes. Warren also averaged 7.0 points and 1.4 rebounds in five games for the Clippers' 2010 NBA Summer League team.

The Clippers selected Warren, an early-entry candidate, in the second round (54th overall) of the 2010 NBA Draft. In two seasons at Oklahoma, Warren averaged 15.2 points, 2.6 rebounds and 3.5 assists in 57 games. As a freshman, Warren was an All-Big 12 Second Team selection, and was named the Big 12 Freshman of the Year. As a sophomore, Warren's 16.3 points per game led the Sooners, and he was named an All-Big 12 Honorable Mention player.
