Reno Bighorns News Release

RENO, Nev.- The Bighorns jumped out of the gates on an 8-0 run and never looked back Wednesday night, cruising to a 113-72 victory over the Springfield Armor in the Reno Events Center.

The Bighorns (18-12) set new franchise records in margin of victory (41), turnovers committed (5) and points allowed (72). The win marked Reno's third straight, on the heels of a weekend sweep over the Bakersfield Jam.

"That was our best defensive effort of the year," said Bighorns Head Coach Eric Musselman. "I thought our guys did a really good job of staying focused throughout the entire 48 minutes. Guys did a great job of playing their role tonight."

In the Reno backcourt, Donald Sloan finished with five assists and no turnovers, while Golden State Warriors assignment player Jeremy Lin led the Bighorns with 20 points, six assists and zero turnovers.

"The job that our team has done collectively of taking care of the ball has been excellent," Musselman said. "We were worried when Aaron Miles went down with an injury, but Sloan continues to get better and better, and our point guard play has been phenomenal."

On a night that featured another balanced effort from the Bighorns, Patrick O'Bryant recorded a double-double with 13 points and 10 boards, while Danny Green added 19 points and six assists. All 10 Bighorns registered in the scoring column Wednesday, and the team combined to shoot 84 percent (21-of-25) from the free-throw line.

Reno led by 18 after one and took a 27-point advantage into halftime. The lead continued to grow in the second half, as the Bighorns finished the third period on a 12-2 run, and the edge was never seriously threatened.

Philadelphia 76ers assignee Craig Brackins led the way for the Armor (9-19), finishing with a game-high 29 points and 12 rebounds. Jerry Smith added 12 points for Springfield, and Gavin Edwards chipped-in 11 points and nine boards.

Reno now hits the road for a Friday-Saturday series in Idaho. Tip-time for the opener is set for 6 p.m. PST in Qwest Arena.

"This one is over. We have two very difficult games coming up against a much-improved Idaho team," Musselman said. "Right now our whole focus is on how we can beat the Stampede."
