December 8, 2004 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
New Jersey SkyCats News Release

The SkyCats officially announced that Randy Zellea and Erin Cauthen will be handling all issues that pertain to Media/Public Relations with the organization. The team had promoted Dave Zaro from media relations up to Assistant coach under Ron Eford.

Randy Zellea graduated from Ramapo College of New Jersey Communications department in 2003. During his tenure at Ramapo, Randy was a member of WRPR 90.3 FM as station director, promotions director and a host of multiple talk shows on the air. Through the his years at college Randy coached High School basketball in Glen Rock which happens to be his former high school.

In 2003 Randy interned with the New Jersey Nets PR team during their run at the NBA finals. After being mentored by Aaron Harris and Andrew Greenberg, Zellea learned the trade, and took the experience and expanded his knowledge of the trade. Zellea still works as a member of the game night team for every Nets home game.

After the internship ended, Randy was picked up as a freelance video assistant at NBA Entertainment and helped produce multiple NBA Entertainment productions such as the Detroit Pistons Championship DVD.

Erin Cauthen is a graduate of the University of Delaware with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communication and a concentration in Public Relations. At the University of Delaware she joined the Public Relations Student Society of America and was also the Chair of the newsletter for the mentoring program she was involved with. She interned at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York assisting the Director of Public Relations. As a basketball fan it has been her goal to work in the public relations department of a Professional sports team. Although this is her first basketball team she is excited and ready to get the ball rolling with the New Jersey SkyCats.

Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams.
