Utah Snowbears News Release
Salt Lake City, UT. Ike Austin and the undefeated Utah Snowbears of the ABA announced the signing of former Utah Jazz forward David Benoit. Benoit, an 8 year NBA veteran and a teammate of Yao Ming on the Chinese National Championship team in 2002, joined the Snowbears Saturday and will play his first game against the Bellevue Blackhawks at Salt Lake Community College.
According to Austin, "We have a very strong team as our record indicates - but the fact is that the ABA is loaded with strong teams - we are feel it is very important that we continue to strive to improve. David will help us."
General admission tickets for the Bellevue game will be $1 - and a part of the proceeds will go to Toys for Tots through the Ike Austin Foundation. Hopefully, the gym will be sold out and it will help many kids have a joyful Christmas.
