Arkansas RimRockers News Release
Little Rock (Thursday, December 9, 2004)- The Arkansas RimRockers will visit Arkansas Children's Hospital Wednesday, Dec. 15 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. The team plans to sign autographs, play with the children and make special visits to those children unable to attend the special session. Arkansas Children's Hospital has arranged for the players to help the children create and build gingerbread houses.
If any media wishes to attend the event, they can meet a representative from the Arkansas Children's Hospital Public Relations department at the front door of the main hospital and be escorted to the third floor playroom, where the team will be.
"Arkansas Children's Hospital is close to many Arkansans' hearts," Emily Wade, Director of Community Relations, said. "I hope to show the team just how special that place really is."
The Arkansas RimRockers, owned by Larry Crain Sr., play all home games at Alltel Arena. Tickets start at $10 and can be purchased through the Alltel Arena Box Office by calling 501-975-7575. The American Basketball Association season runs from November to March. Playoffs will immediately follow.
Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams.
