Rhythm Announce Change in Schedule

December 8, 2004 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Nashville Rhythm News Release

The ABA Nashville Rhythm professional basketball team today announced several schedule changes in the upcoming month.

Due to the Jacksonville Wave suspending operations, the games with the Wave on 12/9 at Jacksonville and 12/14 at Allen Arena have been postponed for later in the season. The Rhythm will look to reschedule the games with another team for later in the season.

The Rhythm home game on 12/31 has been moved to Sparta, TN for a Sparta Appreciation Day. Rhythm star, Kyle Gribble, will return to his hometown for one game. Fans can call 279.6666 for special ticket packages. All season ticket holder's will receive free tickets to the Sparta game or can use their original tickets to get into the first Rhythm playoff game. If no playoff game is held in Allen Arena the Rhythm will refund the ticket holder's money for that game.

About the Nashville Rhythm

In February 2004, a group led by pop/rock artist Sally Anthony purchased the Nashville, Tenn., expansion team of the American Basketball Association (ABA) - the Nashville Rhythm. The ABA is an up-and-coming league that provides equal opportunity for a diverse group of owners to build successful sports franchises across the country.

Anthony, a singer and music entrepreneur, was recently named one of ten emerging independent artists in music by Jim Beam. Her music is played on Top 40 radio stations and has been featured in numerous magazines including JANE and LAUNCH. In addition, she has toured with various artists including Enrique Iglesias, James Taylor, Christina Aguilera, Tom Petty, The Wallflowers, Chris Isaak, Merchant, the Black Crowes and Oasis. Anthony's latest album, Vent, was released in August, 2004.

Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams.
