Pearson corrects statement
March 15, 2005 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Utah Snowbears News Release
I would like to make a public correction for statements I made and referred to that the Maryland and Bellevue ABA organizations asked or needed that the Utah franchise pay for air travel for their teams to Salt Lake City for the proposed re-location of the ABA quarterfinal playoffs on Monday. Of all issues that I spoke on, the fact that this was the case was incorrect. Neither team needed or required or asked for such, and I take full responsibility for not contacting the team management for information verification or confirmation. My apologies to Tom Doyle of the Maryland Nighthawks and Michael Tuckman of the Bellevue Blackhawks. I wish them both well in the ABA Playoffs and in the future. I also want to wish the Arkansas RimRockers and the Mississippi Stingers the best of luck as well. It should be a great playoff finish for the league and its fans.
Derrick Pearson
