RimRockers advance to semi-final round of ABA playoffs

Little Rock (March 14, 2005)- The Arkansas RimRockers advanced to the semi-final round of the ABA Championship after defeating the Kentucky Colonels Sunday afternoon. They will face the Mississippi Stingers on Friday, March 18 at Alltel Arena. The RimRockers defeated Mississippi twice, but suffered one loss to the Stingers at their home court. The Stingers are coached by former Arkansas Razorbacks assistant Andy Stoglin and are currently 23-3 for the year. The RimRockers are only two wins away from an ABA Championship. A victory Friday night would result in the championship game being held Saturday, March 26 at Alltel Arena between the winner of the Maryland vs. Bellevue game.

A special presentation honoring the UALR basketball team will take place at half-time. The Trojans finished their season as the Eastern Division Champions in the Sun Belt Conference. Tip off for the game is set for 7:00 p.m. with doors opening at 6.
