COLORADO SPRINGS, CO - In their series finale against the Las Vegas 51s, the Colorado Springs Sky Sox trailed early and couldn't finish the comeback as they fell 6-4 on Sunday afternoon in front of 5,041 at Security Service Field.

Las Vegas struck early against Sky Sox starter Tyler Cravy (0-1, 4.60). In the first, Johnny Monell doubled in T.J. Rivera with two outs, and then Travis Taijeron followed with a single to score Monell and give the 51s an early 2-0 edge.

The Sky Sox cut into the lead in the second off Las Vegas starter Duane Below (3-3, 4.32). With two outs, Jake Elmore lined a single up the middle to score Andy Wilkins from second and put the Sky Sox on the board.

The 51s added to their lead off Cravy in the fifth on a double from Brandon Nimmo that scored both Below and Dilson Herrera.

In the bottom half, the Sky Sox answered with a pair of runs of their own on Michael Reed's two-run home run, his first of the season, to once again cut the Las Vegas lead to just a run.

Cravy was pulled after five innings on the mound. He allowed four earned runs on five hits while striking out five, but suffered his first loss of the season.

Drew Gagnon came in for the Sky Sox in the sixth. With two outs, Nimmo again doubled, this time to score Marc Krauss and Niuman Romero to regain a three run lead for Las Vegas at 6-3.

Jaye Chapman worked two scoreless innings for the Sky Sox out of the bullpen, striking out four. Jacob Barnes also worked a scoreless inning for the Sky Sox in the ninth.

For Las Vegas, Below pitched five and a third innings, striking out four while allowing three runs on 11 hits to earn his third win of the season.

In the bottom of the ninth, the Sky Sox got a run back when Garin Cecchini scored on a passed ball to make it 6-4 Sky Sox. But Chasen Bradford came out of the 51s bullpen and struck out Will Middlebrooks to end the game and earn his third save of the season.

Six Sky Sox players finished with multi-hit games. With a pair of hits, Eric Young Jr. is now 25th on the Sky Sox all time hits list with 276 during his Sky Sox career.
