
Skeeters Sweep Riversharks with 6-4 Win in Game 4

Despite being down 3-0 going into the bottom of thesixth, Sugar Land was able to rally back and collect a 6-4 win over the Riversharks tonight at Constellation Field. With the win in Game 4, the Skeeters record their third sweep of the season and take a 7-1 advantage over Camden so far this season, 37-29 overall in 2014. Closer Gary Majewski was able to record his 100th career save tonight, 98 of which have been in the minor leagues.
Sean Gallagher (6.0,5,3,3,7,1) made his second start of the season for the Skeeters tonight. The right-hander pitched 6.0 innings and allowed three runs on five hits with one strikeout.
Right fielder Neil Medchill (0x2, R) was able to reach base in the bottom of the sixth inning after an error by the Rivershark second baseman. Third baseman Dominic Ramos (1x2, R, RBI) was then able to record the first hit of the game with a line drive over the shortstops headinto left field. With runners on first and second, shortstop Taylor Harbin (1x4, R, 2 RBI) ripped a double down the left field line, which brought in Medchill and Ramos for the first two runs of thegame. Center fielder Brian Barton (1x4, RBI) also put one down the left field line, which allowed Harbin to record the tying run.
With one out in the bottom of the seventh inning, designated hitter Delwyn Young (1x4, R) hit a deep ball off the center field wall that was good for a double. The very next batter, first baseman Nick Stavinoha (1x4, R, RBI) brought in Young for the go ahead run with a laser up the middle to centerfield. Second baseman Chase Lambin (1x4, R) then followed Stavinoha with a single of his own into center field. A series of three walks in a row pushed two more batters homeincluding Stavinoha and Lambin, making the score 6-3 heading into the top of the eighth.
Ben Kozlowski (1.0,1,0,0,0,2) entered the game in the top of the seventh and tossed one inning and allowed just one hit with two strikeouts. Roy Corcoran (1.0,1,0,0,0,0) took over the hill in the eighth in relief for Kozlowski and also threw 1.0 inning with one hit allowed. Closer Gary Majewski (1.0,2,1,1,0,1) took control in the ninth and was able to collect his 13th save of the season.
