
Six Riders chosen as All-Stars

The Saskatchewan Roughriders are pleased to announce that six players have been chosen to the Western Division All-Star team. The Green and White had three players picked on offence and three on defence. The voting is conducted by members of the Football Reporters of Canada.
AND THE ALL-STARS ARE......
KENTON KEITH (RB): In his second CFL season, Keith earns his first all-star nomination. Keith led the Riders with 1,154 rushing yards and nine touchdowns. He also caught 29 passes for 295 yards and two touchdowns. Keith picked up CFL Offensive Player-of-the-Week honours twice this season and was the Roughrider nominee as Most Outstanding Player.
GENE MAKOWSKY (OL): In his 10th CFL season, Makowsky earns his first all-star nomination. The 31-year old tackle is also the Western Division nominee as Most Outstanding Lineman. Makowsky started all 18 games this season.
ANDREW GREENE (OL): In his seventh CFL season, Greene earns his fourth all-star nomination. The 35-year old guard anchored an offensive line that saw the Riders reach the top of the league in rushing yards. Greene started 17 games this season.
NATE DAVIS (DL): In his fourth CFL season, Davis earns his second all-star nomination. The defensive tackle picked up 20 defensive tackles, one tackle for a loss, and had a team high eight quarterback sacks. Davis was also awarded the Molson Cup earlier this season as the Most Popular Roughrider as voted on by the fans.
REGGIE HUNT (LB): In his third CFL season, Hunt picks up his second West Division all-star nomination. Hunt was a menace through the entire season, leading the team with 72 defensive tackles. The 27-year old also picked up six quarterback sacks and led the team with 10 tackles for losses.
EDDIE DAVIS (DB): In his 10th CFL season, Davis picks up his third West Division all-star nomination. Davis started all 18 regular season games this year at left halfback and led the team with six interceptions. Davis also picked up 61 defensive tackles and two quarterback sacks.
