Springfield Falcons News Release

Springfield, MA – Less than a week remains until the Springfield Falcons will unveil the club's new logo, new uniforms and a re-designed web site at the theater of the Basketball Hall of Fame. The free event will begin at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, September 24th.

The Falcons new logo will be a departure from the original mark that the club has adorned since their inaugural 1994-95 season. The logo will serve as the crest on the Falcons' new jerseys which will balance a classic hockey look with the team's fresh new slant.

"The team's new look is all about attitude," said Falcons director of marketing Carole Appleton.

The Falcons official team web site, Falconsahl.com, is being re-designed by Springfield Internet and software company, Ashton Services. The firm designed and hosts the Falcons' current web site. The new site will be launched in conjunction with the unveiling of the Falcons' new logo and uniforms.

Speakers at the event will include Falcons president and general manager Bruce Landon, head coach Marty McSorley, and Springfield Civic Center general manager Stuart Hurwitz. New Falcons assistant coach Gord Dineen and player/assistant Gary Shuchuk as well as several players will also participate. Besides receiving the first view of the Falcons new logo and uniforms, fans will be able to ask questions of Landon, McSorley, and Hurwitz in a Q & A session and get player autographs.
