January 20, 2016 - ECHL (ECHL)
Adirondack Thunder News Release
Your Thermal Associates Player of The Week is goaltender Kent Simpson! Simpson was flawless in his two starts as he turned aside all 55 shots he faced to earn two shutouts and two wins. The Stockton Heat send down had a 31-save effort in a 1-0 win over Norfolk on Tuesday, followed up by a 24-save performance in Reading on Sunday. Simpson's performance, along with Ken Appleby's, helped lead the Thunder to the all-time ECHL shutout record at 251:51 without allowing a goal.
