Aces Acquire Anchorage Native Scott Wamsganz

ANCHORAGE, ALASKA - The Alaska Aces are pleased to announce the acquisition of forward Scott Wamsganz from the Missouri Mavericks in exchange for future considerations.

The 23 year old Wansganz, an Anchorage native, comes to Alaska after starting the season with the Orlando Solar Bears who then traded him to the Missouri Mavericks. The 6-4, 210 pound left wing played in 7 games for the Solar Bears and 5 in Missouri. He scored his first professional goal for the Mavericks January 9th at Rapid City.

Wamsganz played college hockey at Colorado College, recording 10 goals and 19 assists for 29 points in 102 games. He also skated for Dubuque and Waterloo in the USHL. Wamsganz played high school hockey at Dimond High School.

Wamsganz will wear number 17 with the Aces.
