Silvertips Fight Back to Win 3-2 Over Hawks

Mitch Love's game winning goal in the 3rd period capped a 3-2 victory over the Portland WinterHawks at the Everett Events Center on Saturday night. With the win, the Tips' move their record to 18-16-7-1 and move to 3rd place in the U.S. Division.

The Silvertips also got goals from Curtis Billsten and Mark Kress in the hockey game. Portland's Robin Big Snake snagged 2 goals for the Hawks in the loss. The WinterHawks outshot the Tips' 31-23 in the hockey game. Everett went 0 for 7 on the power play and Portland went 1 for 4 on the extra man advantage.

The Silvertips will travel south to face off with the WinterHawks on Sunday night at Memorial Coliseum in Portland, Oregon. Game time is set for 5:00 p.m.
