Silver Sox Launch Refreshed Promotional Campaign

July 3, 2007: The Reno Silver Sox professional baseball team announced today a revamped promotional campaign. A new promotional schedule has been announced for the remaining 2007 schedule that includes Fireworks on July 3, The Famous Chicken on July 11, Election Night on August 4th, and Bring Your Mother In Law For Free Night on August 6.

A kids club has also been unveiled where children receive a T-shirt, special prizes, and the ability to run the bases after each game. Sign ups and the expanded promotional schedule are listed at www.silversoxbaseball.com The team has also promoted Assistant General Manager and League Director of Operations, Curt Jacey, to the role of General Manager.

Curt enters his twelfth season in minor league baseball. For the previous 10 years he was General Manager of the Bangor and Adirondack Lumberjacks of the Can-Am League. Jacey also was COO of Old Time Sports, LLC the parent company of the Lumberjacks and Evansville Otters of the Frontier League. He handled and oversaw all operations of both teams for five years.

"Curt brings tremendous experience and knowledge of the minor leagues as the new GM of the Sox," Golden Baseball League CEO Dave Kaval stated. "Fans will see a new focus on promotions and fan activities including the recently announced Famous Chicken appearing on July 11, a kids club, a booster club, and an Election Night lampooning the spectacle of the 2008 Presidential Election, and many more soon to be announced."

"I am honored to be promoted to General Manager here in Reno," Jacey stated. "The community has truly embraced the Silver Sox and I look forward to taking the fun quotient to new levels with exciting and wacky promotions."

Aiding Jacey with developing fan friendly promotions is newly hired Director of Promotions, Mike Murray. Mike made national headlines as the Reno Silver Sox PA announcer who was ejected from a game in early June by the umpire.
