Shuckers Announce Promotion of INF Tyler Black to Triple-A

BILOXI, MS - The Biloxi Shuckers and Milwaukee Brewers have announced that INF Tyler Black has been promoted to Triple-A Nashville.

With the Shuckers, Black became the first player since Johnny Davis in 2017 to reach 40 stolen bases in a season, tallying 47 in 2023, the most out of any player in Double-A. Black also set a new career-high with 14 home runs over 84 games and set the Shuckers' single-season record with eight triples.

Black ends his time with Biloxi among the Southern League leaders in triples (1st, 8), stolen bases (1st, 47), on-base percentage (2nd, .411), runs (2nd, 70), walks (4th, 61), OPS (4th, .924), total bases (4th, 158), extra-base hits (T-4th, 38) and slugging percentage (6th, .513).

The infielder also is a consensus Top-100 prospect by MLB Pipeline and Baseball America.

The active roster stands at 27 players.
