2.) Playoff Re-Match- For the second and third time in a week, the Fort Wayne Komets (3-3-0) and the Rapid City Rush (5-2-1) will do battle, this time in South Dakota. The Rush are coming off a four-game road trip that saw them go 2-2 including a 3-2 loss in Fort Wayne last Friday night. The Komets are coming off an impressive 8-2 victory in Dayton on Tuesday night and will play in Rapid City for the first time since dropping the deciding Game 5 in last year's Turner Conference Semifinals. Rapid City's Jesse Schultz is second in the league in scoring with 13 points (4-9=13) and Bobby Chaumont leads the Komets with nine points (2-7=9).

3.) Getting to Know You- The Evansville IceMen (3-0-1) and the Dayton Gems (2-2-2) will become familiar with each other this weekend when they play a three-game series with games Friday and Saturday at Hara Arena in Dayton and Sunday at the Ford Center in downtown Evansville. The IceMen are the only CHL team without a regulation loss, while the Gems have been involved in nearly all close games having five of their six contests decided by one goal.

Inside the Numbers

117: The total number of penalty minutes in the Arizona/Laredo game on Wednesday night, a game the Bucks won 6-3. Arizona accounted for 73 minutes (the most by a single team in a game this season) with Adam Smyth (three games) and Corey Toy (one game) each slapped with suspensions. Laredo accumulated 44 PIM's with Todd Griffith being handed a four game suspension for his actions.

On the Fly

-It's a pick-6 for a handful of CHL players who are all currently riding six-game point streaks, one shy of the longest in the league this season (Arizona's Kyle Hood's seven-game streak). Three of the five players are from Dayton (Brett Lutes, Damian Surma and Brandon Naurato) while the other two are Wichita's Thomas Beauregard and Allen's Colton Yellow Horn.

-After an opening night overtime win against Dayton, the Bloomington Blaze are winless in their last four games. On opening night, the Blaze scored five times earning a win but in their last four games, they have managed just 10 total goals. The Blaze hit Texas for a pair of games against the Brahmas this weekend.

-Wichita goaltender Adam Russo is off to a hot start this season helping the Berry Conference leading Thunder to a 6-1-0 record (he is 4-1-0 on the season with a 2.48 goals against average. No doubt the Montreal native will be looking forward to the visit of the Quad City Mallards (3-3-0) on Friday night, a team he won 15 games for last season. Russo was traded to Wichita in the off-season.

-Laredo veteran defenseman Adam Rivet is off to a solid start this season ranking among the blue line leaders with seven points on the season (4-3=7). In his last five games, Rivet has three goals and three assists and is coming off a four-point night (1-3=4) on Wednesday versus Arizona.
