Top Three

1.) Conference Leaders Clash- The Wichita Thunder (34-14-2, 70 points) and the Evansville IceMen (33-13-4, 70 points) meet on Friday night at the Ford Center in a battle between the Berry Conference leaders and the Turner Conference leaders respectively. The IceMen enter play on a seven-game win streak and they own a three point lead in the Turner over the Fort Wayne Komets. Evansville is coming off a 5-2 win on Wednesday morning over the Arizona Sundogs. Both Todd Robinson and Matt Gens had a goal and two assists in the game. Wichita last played on Sunday and fell at home to the Missouri Mavericks, 4-3. The Thunder are 9-2-0 in their last 11 games. Wichita is in possibly the most difficult part of their schedule playing Evansville, Missouri, Fort Wayne and Rapid City over the next nine games. After Friday's tilt with the IceMen, Wichita will have their second home-and-home with Missouri in a week. Evansville hosts Fort Wayne on Saturday and then travels to Dayton on Sunday.

2.) Brahmas Still Streaking- Make it seven in a row for the Texas Brahmas (27-17-8) who on Tuesday defeated the Allen Americans (29-12-9) for the second time in a week. Ross Rouleau scored the game winning goal in a shootout and Mark Guggenberger made 26 saves in the win moving to 7-0-1 in his last eight decisions. The red-hot goaltender has allowed just three goals in his last six decisions and leads the league with a 1.84 GAA and is tops with a .930 save percentage. The Brahmas and the Tulsa Oilers (23-20-6) will become quite familiar this weekend seeing each other three times; Friday in Tulsa and Saturday and Sunday in Texas. Chad Woollard leads the Brahmas with 20 goals on the season and is just one goal shy of tying Chris Richards for 10th on the CHL's all-time goal scoring list. Dylan Clarke has been pacing the scoring for the Oilers recently with five goals in his last five games. The first- year forward is second among all rookie scorers with 50 points (22-28=50).

3.) Historic Sunday for Oilers- Both Steve Enlow and Tyler Fleck are slated to reach historic milestones on Sunday when the Tulsa Oilers play at the Texas Brahmas. Spending more than four decades in professional hockey, the Oilers equipment manager Enlow is set to work in his 2,000th game. In 2010, Enlow was awarded the Willis of Texas/N. Thomas Berry Commitment Cup and he has twice been asked to participate in a CHL All-Star Game. Enlow has been with the Oilers for the last 18 seasons and in 2006 was named the CHL Equipment Manager of the Year. For defenseman Fleck, he is slated to become just the fifth CHL player to play in 700 professional games as he enters play on Friday night with 697 career games.

Inside the Numbers

11 - The current point streaks of Evansville's Brian Bicek and Todd Robinson heading into Friday's action. The streaks are the two longest active streaks in the CHL and are approaching the longest of the season (Allen's Bruce Graham-14 games). Bicek leads the league with 31 goals, while Robinson is tops in points with 74 (18-56=74).
