Raptors 905 (7-8), the NBA G League affiliate of the Toronto Raptors, defeated the Capital City Go-Go (7-9) 111-103 Wednesday evening. Justin Champagnie led the shorthanded 905 with a season-high 34 points, adding nine rebounds, five assists, three steals, and two blocks. Washington Wizards assignee Vernon Carey Jr. put up a team-high 27 points along with eight rebounds, two assists, a steal, and two blocks in the loss.

The two teams exchanged baskets in the opening 12 minutes with the Go-Go gaining the early 22-20 lead going into the second frame. The 905 fought back in the second behind Champagnie's 20 first-half points, but Capital City held onto the three-point advantage going into the half.

The 905 came out of the break strong, outscoring Capital City 33-25 behind a balanced scoring effort. Up five, the 905 continued to build off their momentum in the final frame, outscoring the Go-Go by three and closing out another win at Paramount Fine Foods Centre.

The 905 saw complementary scoring from Dowtin Jr. (23 points, 10 assists, two steals) and Wooten Jr. (13 points, 11 rebounds, three blocks) who both contributed double-doubles. The Go-Go were paced by Jordan Schakel who added 12 points, four rebounds, six assists, and two steals in the loss.

The Raptors 905 complete their homestand, hosting the College Park Skyhawks Friday, tip-off scheduled for 7:30 pm. The Capital City Go-Go have now completed their showcase schedule and prepare to head to Las Vegas for the showcase cup.
