September 30, 2011 - Arena Football League (AFL)
Spokane Shock News Release
Spokane, WA: The Spokane Shock announced today that WR BJ Dennard has been added to the 2012 roster. Dennard, 6-1 215, spent the last two seasons with the UFL's Las Vegas Locomotives.
Prior to his professional career, Dennard was a multi-dimensional player for the University of Arizona where he lined up on offense (wide receiver), defense (defensive back) and special teams (kickoff returner).
During his 31-game career as a Wildcat, Dennard collected 13 receptions for 143 yards and added 256 yards on 12 kick returns. As a defender, Dennard contributed 10 tackles.
"DJ came in for a workout last season and he made an impression," Head Coach Andy Olson said. "He has great breakaway speed and very strong hands. His experience at the collegiate level and at the professional level should help his transition to the Arena game."
Dennard is the 18th player added to Spokane's 2012 roster. For ticket information, contact the Shock ticket office at 509 242 7462 ext.1.
