
Sharipzyanov Named Player of the Week

Owen Sound Attack News Release
The Owen Sound Attack has named Russian defenseman Damir Sharipzyanov (Shar-eep-zee-an-ov) the Becker Shoes Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday, January 12th.
The rookie defenseman had a solid weekend, tallying a goal and ending the weekend with a +1 rating. Sharipzyanov now has 5 goals and 7 assists on the season for the Attack.
A prospect for the 2014 NHL Entry Draft, Sharipzyanov received good news on Monday finding out that he is ranked #176 amongst North American skaters for the upcoming draft.
Also ranked for the Attack is forward Jaden Lindo at #96.
Sharipzyanov and the Attack is back in action when they hit the road this Friday to take on the Generals in Oshawa. All of the action can be seen live on Rogers TV local channel 53 or heard live on 560 CFOS with Fred Wallace.
Game time is 7:35pm.
